Reaching Inside Project
Our goal as a journal is to shed light on, prompt conversations about, and explore the ramifications of eco- and social-justice issues by sharing work that exemplifies this focus. We know it's not enough to simply print this work; we want to live by it. So we've taken on the self-imposed challenge of Don't Just Print It, Do It. In an effort to be more economically just, we no longer charge a submission fee, and offer discounted copies of the journal to those who submit. In an effort to be socially conscious members of the literary world, we began the Reaching Inside Project to provide boxes of ten archived copies of the journal (a total cover value of $80) to organizations with an identifiable need. Our first recipients will be prison libraries across the nation, sharing work the inmates may not otherwise be exposed to, and perhaps inspiring them to submit their own work to CMR.
If you would like to sponsor a box, your payment covers the packaging and shipping costs.
If you would like your box sent to a specific prison, please note that in the comment section. We cannot guarantee that the prison you request will accept them, but we will do our best!
